Remodeling is the ultimate recycle

The reclaiming and upgrading of this inefficient home had a lower environmental impact than removal and replacement. Reorganization of internal functions created needed space and improved circulation. The added ground source heat pump system, solar domestic hot water panels, photovoltaic array, insulation, efficient fixtures and appliances vastly improved the buildings energy performance. Accent and structural reclaimed timbers along with subtle metal detailing unify the design.
